The Challenge

FGS affects an estimated 50 million women and girls in sub-Saharan Africa.

Often misdiagnosed, misunderstood and stigmatised, this chronic condition can limit girl’s and women’s chances to lead a healthy life.

Our Mission

At WINGS-4-FGS, we are working to reduce the burden of FGS, improve diagnosis and treatment, and empower women and communities.

Through partnership, awareness creation, research and innovation, we aim to integrate FGS care into school and existing sexual and reproductive health programmes, increasing girl’s and women’s right to disease screening and treatment.
